Through vulnerabilities in Chrome for iOS traffic directs on commercial websites

Experts from Confiant company that specializes on tracing malware advertisement campaigns say that hackers often use vulnerability in Chrome for iOS for redirecting iPhone and iPad users on fraud websites.

Researchers already reported Google about the issue and its developers analyze this information. Most likely, that soon they will issued a patch.

Existing bug allows attackers to use malware code that is hidden is advertising banners for redirecting users on suspicious resources.

Vulnerability works in mobile iOS version of Chrome only. Any other version (neither mobile nor for a desktop) is not involved.

Researchers named this malware campaign eGobbler. Simultaneously with it, eight smaller campaigns tried to exploit same bug in Chrome.
