Save Pass (aka ShowPass 1.1) is an adware that generates numerous pop-up ads, advertisement banners and sponsored links in your Web browser before. This annoying browser infection may attack all popular browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome.
Usually the obtrusive adware secretly penetrates to the computers along with some freeware. There is a tendency that almost every free program contains some unwanted extras. Nobody discloses this fact, unfortunately. If you users do not want to spend their time reading the setup wizard of the programs which they install on their workstations, there is a high risk to detect this unwanted adware launching in the background of the computer system. The same thing is with Save Pass. So, Save Pass is installed Save Pass without your knowledge. This adware claims to reduce your costs while shopping on-line. In fact these promises are far from the truth.
Save Pass (ShowPass 1.1) pop-up service is developed to increase advertisement revenue. Pay-per-click method is used there. If anybody clicks these ads, its developers earn some funds. It attracts the web traffic, collects sales leads for other suspicious web pages; it also learns browsing habits to provide the users with more relevant ads in future. Plus, it makes your PC vulnerable for other severe viruses; it opens “the back door” for them, as it were. As you see this tool cannot add any valuable services for you. Quite to the contrary, it may wear out your nerves.
So, you should be more attentive when downloading anything from the Web. Always read the End User License Agreements (EULA) or Terms and Agreements before installing software on your computer. Do never click too fast thru the installation process of software as you will agree to install the unwanted programs by default. If you are offered Advanced or Custom installation, make sure to use this option. Uncheck the check boxes of all unfamiliar applications and do not allow the unwanted applications to take place.
