There’s a large number of fake alerts, popups and warnings displayed by System Repair scam, of which we previously written in several of our posts. ‘Windows – Read error’ is just one of them. There are many others, in fact. The purpose of these deceitful statements expressed by System Repair is to make users believe that their system is in a horrible condition. Then, of course, the virus will prompt users into buying the so-called licensed version of this malware, even though it is a totally useless application when it comes to optimizing your workstation.

If you have System Repair hoax on your system you probably understand what it really is and what consequences it brings onto your computer. The worst thing resulted by the presence of this Trojan is the issue of hidden files. However, you should not worry for them. They’re still on your PC and know the ways how to restore them. Simply ignore all deceitful alerts of this hoax, including the message ‘Windows – Read error’, and keep up with the malware removal milestones outlined below.

From this stage (in the address field) you may insert the address of GridinSoft Trojan Killer’s site http://trojan-killer.net and download our recommended software. Install and update it, run the scan and remove all threats it finds. Then download two additional free applications called Unhider.exe and restore.exe . The download links are as follows:
